Holidays are coming, are you ready for them?
Posted by: | CommentsThe holidays are coming. First my favorite which is Halloween. Probably the only real holiday I love anymore since it is fun. Like all holidays though it has been taken over by businesses looking to make a quick buck since they import crap from China and other countries trying to sell it for one time use so they can make a large profit on cheap stuff.
The meanings of all these holidays since to have fallen by the waste side to give in to the business end of them. Christmas is probably the worse since it starts getting into swing long before other holidays and you are sick of it long before it gets here. Being a Buddhist, I find holidays to be a hassle which have lost meaning and just a time of year to avoid since they have been turned into a joke for the most part.
I have been looking at fabric for Halloween. In some respects I love crafts, the fabric I was looking at had great bright colors with a great design on them. I am still thinking of something to make with the fabric.
Which brings me to the question. Do you use the holidays to make money? Holidays can be a great time to make money since people go out of their way to charge up their credit cards and spend well beyond their means. SO why not get in on the action? Yeah, it seems sinister but it is also just a part of business.

Protect Your Home for a Stress Free Vacation

There are lots of things you can do to protect your home when you take that longed for summer vacation. Some of them seem easy, but in the heady rush of packing to leave home, security is sometimes the last thing on our minds.
The first step in protecting your home against a burglar is to make your home look as if someone is home. If you switch all the lights off that is a sure sign that no one is home, conversely, if you leave all your lights switched on, that is also a sign that no one is home.
The best method for making your home look lived in and occupied is to get a timer. Set the timer to switch on a light or two in the early evening hours, and then set it to switch the lights off at the same time you would normally go to bed. That way, any burglar will assume that someone is home because it looks as if someone is inside turning lights on and off.
The next step to protecting your home while you are on vacation is to make sure that you cancel newspapers and mail. An overstuffed mail box is a sure sign that no one is home to collect the mail. Another big tip off are newspapers lying untouched in the driveway. Finally, and most important of all, switch on your home security alarm before leaving home. People are always jumping at the chance to start a new website and looking for any idea. That is how most of the websites come about on the net. One helpful hint I can give for people looking for a website to start is to take a walk around the bookstore or the mall. You can find lots of keywords and ideas to help you along the way to a new niche site.
Always searching for more money?
Posted by: | CommentsThese days I have found that with the economy in such a bad rut that people keeping searching for ways to make more money. Online tends to be a popular way since people don’t have to work another 9-5 job with a commute and other hells.
There are many ways of making money online. A friend of mine took his passion for cars and started selling hard to find classic car parts on Craig’s List. He now has turned that into a full time business and told his old job goodbye.
Another friend took his skills as a writer and editor to open his own online magazine. He quit his day job when he started making twice what it paid a year.
The money is there, don’t fall for the traps that people offer though. If you have to spend hundreds of dollars to learn how to make money you need to put your check book up and start getting out your creativity.
Look at the talents and what you know how to do now and see if you can figure out how to make money with that? Start by looking how other people make money with it. Then go from there.

I keep hearing that and I’m checking into it i a couple of weeks when I check new glasses. The prescription I have is pretty strong and complicated so if I can get rid of glasses I would go for it.
