Dual Flush Toilets? I was at the zoo over the weekend and I noticed they had done some remodeling in the bathroom. So what is a dual flush toilet? It is great to see places like the zoo remodeling to save resources and go green. It should inspire visitors to start checking into going green and changing the way they live.
Dual flush toilets allow you to save water by giving you two options when you flush. The first option is a light flush which works great if you are not having to flush anything “bulky” and then the second option is for bulk. This allows for a lot of water saving over time which will also reduce your water bill. While you really don’t realize it flushing a toilet is actually a large waste of water normally, so this will really help cut back on the water bill and in this economy I don’t think anyone would argue about saving money.
HET toilets “High Efficiency toilets” like these are the new green way to go. The best part about them is the fact you can do a DIY project and use a dual flush retrofit kit on the toilet you have now and save money without the cost of replacing the entire toilet. Now don’t say you can’t do a little bit of home remodeling yourself, if a girl like me can repair most of the stuff in the house by myself I’m sure anyone can put a retrofit kit in a toilet. It isn’t like you are being asked to do major plumbing.
