Pay yourself first?
Posted by: | CommentsOne of the things I have learned about making money is the statement, “pay yourself first”. What does it mean? It means reward yourself for your hardwork. Even if it is something small like just going out for a nice dinner.
I rewarded myself yesterday with a new computer. I made four figures yesterday for some work so before i paid anyone else I paid myself first. Why should you pay yourself first? Because when you work for yourself you need to see results away from work, away from just getting the bills paid. If you always pay every one else first you will soon find yourself never getting to enjoy your hard work even a little bit. This leads to depression and a “I don’t Care” attitude which in the long run will lower your happiness at what you do and make the work seem not any better than a 9-5 job working as someone’s slave.
So remember pay yourself first. Then pay everyone else.
Always searching for more money?
Posted by: | CommentsThese days I have found that with the economy in such a bad rut that people keeping searching for ways to make more money. Online tends to be a popular way since people don’t have to work another 9-5 job with a commute and other hells.
There are many ways of making money online. A friend of mine took his passion for cars and started selling hard to find classic car parts on Craig’s List. He now has turned that into a full time business and told his old job goodbye.
Another friend took his skills as a writer and editor to open his own online magazine. He quit his day job when he started making twice what it paid a year.
The money is there, don’t fall for the traps that people offer though. If you have to spend hundreds of dollars to learn how to make money you need to put your check book up and start getting out your creativity.
Look at the talents and what you know how to do now and see if you can figure out how to make money with that? Start by looking how other people make money with it. Then go from there.

Posted by: | CommentsCinema Mob? Yep. That is what I thought when I first heard it. They offer a mobile video collection for only $19.99 a month. So if you have an unlimited text and internet plan already like most people do these days you can get access to their full site.
The technology and internet is going this way, so you can see them expand to much more then they offer now. Soon you will be getting not just videos “on-demand” but full length movies streamed to you anytime you want any where you want.
So enjoy the videos that they have now and try to keep up with all the stuff to come.

Internet Danger

Being on the internet as long as I have been I often get asked how to keep up with what your kids are doing on the net since most of them quickly learn how to hide their activity from their parents.
Currently I have been playing around with a software program called Spector Pro. It tracks everything done on a computer and even takes screen shots to help you keep up with your kid’s activity.
The internet can be just as dangerous as the rest of this world. Predators, bullies, and other people try to prey on naive people who don’t realize or understand that it can happen.
Since the suicide of one girl due to cyber bullying on facebook, parents have finally come to realize that they need to be aware of what goes on when their kids are on the net.

Buying Gold
Posted by: | CommentsI have been into buying actual gold coins and bullion for years now. Why buy gold? Besides it really is a good investment just having the actual gold in your hands gives you a little more peace of mind. Figures of your money on paper is just that paper and ink. Paper and ink isn’t money it just shows you how much you are suppose to have in that account. If something was to ruin where that account is at, your paper and ink won’t mean much.
It is just like having stock. I have invested in stock for years. Having “X” number of shares of stock is great but those share mean nothing except you own part of a company. Today it can be worth millions tomorrow nothing, you still have “X” number of shares but they have no value now.
Gold on the other hand, you have “X” amount of gold. Regardless of gold’s actual price on the market you will always have “X” amount of gold. Gold has been used as currency for thousands of years. It will be used for thousands of years long after paper currency goes the way of the dinosaur.
Think about it.
